Sutton Tennis Academy (STA) is one of the United Kingdom’s premier tennis development centres and the country’s first fully indoor junior tennis academy. Established in 1991, STA quickly became recognized as a national High-Performance Centre and the Lawn Tennis Association’s South East regional headquarters, setting the benchmark for elite tennis training and player development across the UK.
With a commitment to nurturing talent at every level, STA provides coaching and competition opportunities for over 1,000 junior players weekly, alongside an extensive adult program catering to all abilities. The academy is also proud to serve as a Disability Tennis Hub, offering inclusive programs for wheelchair tennis and athletes with diverse needs.
The academy’s state-of-the-art facilities include:
9 indoor acrylic courts
9 clay courts
2 outdoor acrylic and 3 outdoor AstroTurf courts
A specialist strength, conditioning, and performance gym
On-site physio, sports psychology, and nutrition services
A partnership with Cheam High School supporting student-athletes through the Cheam High Tennis Scholarship Scheme
