Avanti '55

Avanti '55 is a clay court tennis club based in Nijmegen, Netherlands, founded in 1955. With around 500 members, it is an active club that takes part in competition play and runs five tournaments throughout the year. The club is located at Van Haapsstraat 78 in the 6525 CE postcode area of Nijmegen.

The club has five outdoor LED-floodlit courts with a gravel (clay) surface, making evening play possible across the week. Coaching is available from five qualified trainers with experience across all levels, from beginner juniors through to players with top-100 ranking backgrounds. Training is open to members and The Insiders members, with spring and summer programmes running from late March each year.

The clubhouse is open Monday through Friday from 19:30 to 23:30, staffed each evening by members themselves behind the bar - giving the club a notably social character. Monday evenings serve as the club's regular ladder night. Many members are also active in organising committees, and the club hosts events such as a pub quiz alongside its competitive programme.
