Groningen Student Tennis Club (G.S.T.C.) is the oldest student tennis association in the Netherlands, founded on 9 February 1932. Located in Groningen, the club serves a membership of 500 players ranging from competitive levels to beginners, operating under the umbrella of Vindicat Atque Polit student organization.The club offers year-round training from Monday through Saturday, with competitive play running for seven weekends starting around April. Members compete on Friday (beginners), Saturday, and Sunday matches. Every Thursday, members gather for intensive play on the courts followed by social time at the clubhouse, 't Haarhuisje. The club was recognized by the KNLTB in 2023 as the most enjoyable student tennis association in the Netherlands. Beyond tennis, G.S.T.C. maintains strong traditions, including supporting the Dutch Davis Cup team since 1991, having travelled to Mexico, Spain, and the Czech Republic for matches. More than 15 active commissions organize events year-round, from ski trips and tournaments to regular social activities, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
Tennis vereniging Be Quick 1887 is a tennis club located on the border between Groningen and Haren at sportpark De Esserberg, established in 1987. The club operates 3 clay courts nestled among the trees of the park, creating a quiet oasis for members.
