Despre noi

Queensland Tennis Centre is a state-of-the-art tennis venue located in Tennyson, Brisbane, Australia. Opened on 2 January 2009, this A$82 million facility was built on the site of the demolished Tennyson Power Station as part of the Tennyson Riverside development. The centre has hosted the Brisbane International, a combined men's and women's professional tournament, since its opening.

The facility features 23 International Tennis Federation standard courts across hardcourt, clay and grass surfaces. The centrepiece is Pat Rafter Arena, the main showcase court named after Australian tennis legend Patrick Rafter, with a seating capacity of 5,500 (expandable to 7,000 with temporary seating). The arena features an innovative PTFE glass fibre fabric roof that allows natural light while reducing reliance on artificial lighting. The centre also hosts Davis Cup and Fed Cup matches and offers tailored coaching programs for juniors and adults, court hire, social tennis fixtures, and functions.
