Tennis vereniging Be Quick 1887 is a tennis club located on the border between Groningen and Haren at sportpark De Esserberg, established in 1987. The club operates 3 clay courts nestled among the trees of the park, creating a quiet oasis for members. It is a small-scale, close-knit community that organizes official KNLTB competitions, tournaments, and professional tennis lessons.
The club features a newly completed clubhouse (operational since August 2025) with a bar and café facilities, as well as showers. Members can join official ladder competitions and participate in tournaments such as the Esserberg Open. Membership is quick and easy - applicants can join within one minute online. The club is run largely by dedicated volunteers and emphasizes fair play, mutual encouragement, and respect both on and off the court.
