About Us

Virtus Tennis Bologna is part of SEF Virtus, one of the city’s oldest sporting institutions, active since 1871. The tennis section was founded in 1925 and quickly became a national reference point, developing a long tradition of competitive excellence and producing players who reached the Davis Cup, Fed Cup, ATP, and WTA levels.

Over the decades, Virtus has been home to prominent Italian champions such as Vanni Canepele, Beppe Merlo, Orlando Sirola, Omar Camporese, and Raffaella Reggi, and has hosted major events including Italian Championships and Davis Cup ties.

Today, Virtus Tennis continues its mission of growing young talent through a structured competitive program supported by experienced coaches and modern facilities. The club features multiple clay and synthetic courts, a gym, padel courts, and a renovated clubhouse, offering an environment designed for player development at every stage - from juniors taking their first steps to athletes aiming for high-level competition.
