Opened in 2007, the LTA National Tennis Centre (NTC) in Roehampton serves as the home of British tennis and a premier training base for top national and international players.The facility features 20 tennis courts across multiple surfaces – including six indoor and six outdoor US-spec hard courts, four Italian clay courts (two covered during winter), and four championship-quality grass courts designed to replicate Wimbledon conditions. In addition, there are three padel courts, a high-performance gym, sports science and medical facilities, and on-site accommodation for players and teams.The NTC provides world-class training and support for the British Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair high-performance teams, offering expertise in performance analysis, fitness, psychology, rehabilitation, nutrition, and strength and conditioning.Beyond professional training, the centre hosts LTA tournaments, coach education programs, and community tennis initiatives, promoting inclusivity and participation at every level of the sport.Its modern accommodation block offers 22 en-suite rooms, suitable for visiting players, training camps, and competition participants.
